The Cello Folk Society weekend retreat at Mettabee Farm - April 3-5, 2026

Do you play fiddle/folk cello? or are you a cellist interested in expanding your genre horizons? Come join teachers Mckinley James, Elsie Gawler, and Sammy Wetstien for a weekend retreat at Mettabee Farm! Friday evening till Sunday afternoon will hold a variety of workshops, break out groups, jam sessions, tune learning, deep dive into accompaniment, a Saturday night contra dance and jam session, and much more. And woven through the whole weekend is an opportunity to connect and play music with other enthusiastic folk cellists. This weekend is geared towards ages 14+, beginner, intermediate, and advanced cellists. Onsite housing is available if needed.
