In this class we will examine fundamental verse structure in Shakespeare's writing. We will examine clues in the text -- structure, word choice, spelling, meter -- and experience, in practice, how they guide the actor to meaning, sense, pace, character, and to liberation. We will warm up with Spacial Dynamic exercises and improvisation games. Please come prepared with a memorized Sonnet and a monologue of no less than 12 lines. The class is open to everyone.
